Liela Mae Harwell Tutt, age 90 of Buena Vista, AR passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born November 24, 1921 in Louann, AR to Hilliard and Lena Harwell. She married the love of her life John Tutt on March 29, 1941. She worked as a bookkeeper for several compaines over a period of years, owned and operated two grocery stores, served on the Ouachita County Election Board and was Secretary/Treasurer for Buena Vista Methodist Church, on the board for the Buena Vista Cemetery Association and was a Sunday School Teacher and Lay Speaker for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Tutt of 46 years; grandson, John Gaston; brothers, Earl, Raymond and Kit Harwell.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Tommy) Gaston of Sparkman, AR and Marigail Taylor (Ben) of Jacksonville, AR; grandchildren, Larry Gaston, Angel (Walt) Pigott and Mike (Jennifer) Gaston all of Sparkman, AR; nine great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Louise Horan of Henderson, NV and Hazel Brian of Louann, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, friends; and special care givers, Betty Stamps and Marilyn Walker.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 17, 2011 at Buena Vista Methodist Church with burial in Buena Vista Cemetery. Bro. Cedric Walters and Bro. David Dillard will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
